Bunkoff Beach Party

This past weekend we took a ride up to NY to visit with friends. This is our annual summer "college" reunion at Nate and Christy's house. For the past 3 summers they have opened up their home to all of us and our kids. They have kindly put up with screaming kids, wet feet, dripping bathing suits, and Rockband concerts gone bad. Thanks guys for a wonderful weekend.
Just a "we missed you" to the DeAngelo and Suplee/Noti families. Hopefully next summer will bring EVERYONE together.

The Front Porch

Here it is guys. The finished product!!!! James finished painting and we added the white rocking chairs. We pulled up all of the dead shrubs and are going to work on landscaping next spring. For now we will keep it like this.

My Hydrangea Plant

For those of you don't who know my gardening ability,I have none!!! I do NOT have a green thumb. I love the way flowers look but cannot keep them alive.
Hydrangea flowers are my next favorite(next to tulips). My brother-in-law gave me this plant last Easter and it started out small. I have to say it is blossoming into a huge beautiful bush. Lets see if I can keep it alive for next year. Thanks Mikey!!!!!!

Caught up!

So- I think I am caught up now. We did go to the Bronx Zoo on Thurs but I forgot my camera. Really? How many times can you guys look at pictures of animals? Nothing new going on. James is now officially working from home. No more commute, no more dry cleaning, and no more 5:15am alarm. Yeah!!! The porch is finally done. I will take a picture tomorrow and post the finished product. Now we are just trying to enjoy our summer with many upcoming weekend trips. Although, I will have to say alot of the stores are getting ready for fall. I know alot of you guys don't want to hear that but I will honestly say that the fall is my euphoria and I can't wait for it to get here. I am truly my happiest when I start to see the leaves change color and the pumpkins on porches.

Here are a few pictures of our day at the local petting zoo today. Spent the afternoon outside enjoying the weather.

Happy Fourth of July

We hope everyone had a happy and safe Fourth of July. It was a beautiful day! During the day we went to friends of ours(Tina and EJ). We did some catching up with friends we haven't seen in a while. We went swimming, jumped in the castle bouncy house, playscape, and I am sure I am forgetting something. I did forget my camera though. Bummer! Thanks Tina and EJ for a great time. Later that night we went to Erin and Pete's house and celebrated with some sparklers and the "sound" of fireworks. This year Meriden decided not to do fireworks off the top of the castle so we listened to everyone Else's instead. It was a nice cool night, great to be outside, and in the company of great friends!

Hopkins Vineyard

Last weekend we spent a great Sat with our friends Kelly and Corey. We took a drive up to Hopkins Vineyard. The guys had some wine tastings, we toured the little shop and ventured outside where we found beautiful gardens and an awesome frog pond. We had a nice lunch and found a fun toy store where we played for a while. I knew Olivia would love the store, but I never expected the reaction I would get out of Corey. The first picture is him when he didn't know we were looking(he turned and saw that James was taking his picture with his camera phone-hence the fuzziness). Before this shot, he spent a good 5 to 10 mins dressing up and talking to himself. He was in his own world but it was so much fun to watch!!!!

Mystic Aquarium

Last week we took a day trip with Auntie Chris and Max to Mystic Aquarium. We had a great time. Olivia (and her mommy) loved the sea lion show. She sat through the whole thing and didn't move a muscle. Loved it! She touched the sting-rays in their tank and would have stayed there all day if there were not people waiting.

so pretty
