Summer Fun With Friends

One of my best friends (we have been friends since we were 5) has always had a cottage

at the beach, since I can remember. She decided the last few years to rent one with her own family, and always invites us down. We try to make it down for a day. The kids had a blast!! The moms were able to hang out and chat. The kids were able to play together, and I can't wait to see how the friendships of our kids develop over the years.

    We celebrated the March bdays on Easter, since it was so early.

Happy Sixth Birthday Olivia!

March birthdays are tough. Can't really do anything outside, so we either end up paying an arm and  a leg for a place to go or figure something else out. Every year we toy with the idea of a small birthday party vs.a big party. This year we gave Olivia a choice. She had her heart set on going to NYC to the American Girl store AGAIN! These were her two choices. A small party with 5 of her closest BFF's and a trip to NYC with us, or a big party somewhere. Secretly I wanted her to choose a small party and NYC and guess what~ that is what she chose!!! A girl after my own heart!!!!

All in all, it was pretty great!!!!! Six years of this serious, kind, smart, loving little girl and it has been the best six years of our lives! We love you Olivia! Make six great!!!!
