Goodbye Wilbur Avenue~Hello Blossom Way

After 8 memorable years we are saying goodbye to our first home. It's a little bittersweet. It's the first home we owned as a married couple, we brought our 2 beautiful daughters home to this house, and put a massive amount of work into our little yellow cape to represent our style. It is sad to let it go, but we are very excited to start the next chapter in our lives on Blossom Way. We hope to make as many, if not more, memories in our new home as we did on Wilbur Avenue.

Goodbye......

Hello........

Radio City Music Hall~ Christmas Spectacular

Every year James's mom get us tickets to a show in NYC as a stocking stuffer. We couldn't decide on one last year, but I realized we have never seen the Christmas Show. Without hesitation we all agreed and last weekend we drove into the city and had an amazing time. It was special this year because my mom was able to come and Olivia is old enough to join us and enjoy a day in the city. She loves NYC just as much as we do and we are so incredibly privileged to be able to give her the chance to expose her to new things. This is her second show she has been to this year and continues to talk about them constantly.
Thank you Joan for another great show!!!!

Halloween 2011

Halloween didn't quite turn out the way we expected it to this year. I don't think anyone expected the series of events I am about to list.

A huge ice and snow storm-at the end of October~ really?

A power outage that made me uproot the kids and move in with my ever so generous brother-in-law and future sister- in- law. We love you Mike and Ashley!!!!

7 days without power which forced us to come up with creative ways of entertaining the girls while trying to remain optimistic that one of the7oo daily phone calls home would result in our machine picking up. I did make mention that if our machine picked up I would dance a jig so ask Mike and Ashley if I kept that promise.

I know it seems like it was just me that took the brunt of this, but let me explain where James was. After his thyroid surgery we were made well aware of him needing radio-active treatment. For 3 days he had to be in complete isolation away from the girls and I. Can anyone guess when those 3 days fell? That's right! In the middle of the storm. So James lived at his mother's house with no power for 3 days(just a gas fireplace) secluded from his family and friends. His mother also stayed with Mike and Ashley which was a big help to me.

Luckily for us our friends the Schmidts had power 2 towns over and we were able to go trick-or-treating there. Olivia was able to walk the neighborhood with her best bud Logan and we never missed a beat. 7 days later we were back in our house restocking the fridge and cleaning up the tree limbs that took over our backyard.

Fair Weather Acres

While Avery napped Olivia and I spent an amazing afternoon at Fair Weather Acres.
Corn maze, hay rides, corn pit, pick your own pumpkin~ how can you go wrong??

Pumpkin Carving 2011

Pumpkin carving again at the Grecos and this year Tyler is a little older to enjoy it more. Olivia had a great time and our design of choice was a Barbie witch. It came out awesome~ of course. Next year we will have 2 more babies to add to the mix. Can't wait to meet" Baby Greco" and "Baby Benedetto"!!! :)

Apple Picking 2011

A beautiful day for apple picking and this time we asked grammie to come along with us. Another great time at Lyman Orchards.
